Science Fiction literature deals with stories of the future and contains elements that do not exist in our world. This genre ranges from themes that explore (but are not limited to) space travel and time travel and deals with the consequences of technological and scientific advances. SciFi can be "hard" or "soft" depending on whether it deals with natural sciences like physics, chemistry or astronomy or social sciences like psychology, anthropology or sociology. Subgenres include utopian and dystopian fiction, space opera, cyberpunk, and steampunk.
